Grant Application
Funding is allocated through a competitive grant process by the Evergreen Board of Directors on a quarterly basis. The Foundation accepts applications at the end of each quarter on the fiscal year calendar: May, August, November, and February. Please check our home page for the deadline for the current quarter.
Priority areas include agencies serving persons with behavioral health, substance abuse or intellectual/developmental disabilities. Previous grantees have included agencies throughout the seven counties of Western North Carolina. Not-for-profit organizations with a 501 (C)3 or equivalent provision may apply. The Evergreen Foundation will not accept proposals from not-for-profit organizations providing pass through funds to ineligible organizations such as for-profits or private foundations.
The Foundation makes annual commitments and there is no lower or upper limit on requests.

Complete all sections of the application and return a signed application via e-mail as an attachment to dcoleman@evergreennc.org. Please submit applications in a .doc or .pdf format. Also please submit a copy of your organization’s budget, the first two pages and Schedule A of your Form 990. These can be uploaded and sent with the application.

A signed copy of the grant application, whether electronic or hard copy, must be submitted by 5 p.m. of the due date for the applicable grant funding cycle.
A letter will be sent to all applicants advising of award or denial for each grant cycle following the meeting of the Board of Directors.
